Bhogpur: A fire broke out at a general store located on Railway Road on Friday, March 20, 2026. This incident occurred around 4 pm, which created panic around the areas. Flames began to engulf the shop, triggering panic and chaos among the neighboring shopkeepers. Following the fire, shopkeepers present in the vicinity immediately began efforts to extinguish the fire.
According to the Jagran reports, Vishal Behl of the Market Association arrived with others, cut off the main power, and helped contain the fire. Their combined efforts prevented it from spreading, averting a major disaster. The shop owner, Surinder Mohan, and a female employee escaped unharmed.

Locals allege that multiple complaints regarding sparking in the overhead power lines running above the shop had been lodged with the concerned electricity department, yet no action was taken. Residents have attributed the incident to the department's negligence. Fortunately, the incident resulted in no loss of life or property damage.
