Ramesh Pokhriyal resign from Union Cabinet citing ill-health

In a major development, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has been dropped from the Cabinet on health grounds.Reports are claiming that the Modi 2.0 Cabinet may see the induction of Jyotiraditya Scindia, Varun Gandhi, Anupriya Patel as union ministers. Also, MoS Finance Anurag Thakur may be elevated. PM Modi is all set for a cabinet reshuffle at 6 pm on Wednesday, the first since assuming charges for a second term.
