Shiv Ratan Agarwal, Bikaji Foods Founder, Passes Away at 74

Shiv Ratan Agarwal, founder and Managing Director (MD) of Bikaji Foods International, passed away in Chennai on Thursday, April 23, at the age of 74. He travelled to Tamil Nadu for his wife's surgery and was staying at a hotel with his family at the time of his death, according Dainik Bhaskar.

Agarwal last breathed at 7.30 ma on Thursday, before he complained of uneasiness as his condition worsened and was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors. 

His wife is under observation at a hospital in Chennai after she underwent heart bypass surgery and has been strongly advised to rest, prompting the family to remain in Chennai for her recovery, according to ABP Live. Agarwal and his family have been staying in Chennai for 10 days.

Shiv Ratan Agarwal was the founder of the Bikaji brand. The company was founded by him in 1993. The company started a small-scale venture and eventually grew into one of India's leading dry foods companies. Earlier, the company was operated under the name Shivdeep Food Products, named after his son.
