Srinagar, June 26 One terrorist was killed in an encounter in South Kashmir's Pulwama district on Friday, police said.

According to officials, a joint team of army, police and the CRPF cordoned off an area in Tral after receiving specific inputs during the night.

As the security noose tightened, the hiding militants fired triggering the encounter.

"One terrorist has been killed in the encounter and one AK 47 rifle has been recovered," DG Police Dilbag Singh told .
