Uttar Pradesh Horror: Bride’s Cousin Shot in Chest During Clash Over Songs in Etah

A joyous wedding celebration in Nagla Bhim village turned into a horrifying crime scene after a dispute over song selection escalated into violence, resulting in the death of the bride’s cousin on Wednesday. The incident took place during the wedding ceremony of Aarti, daughter of Charan Singh, in the area falling under the jurisdiction of the Marhara Police Station. During the commotion, one of the individuals allegedly opened fire, and a bullet struck the bride’s cousin in the chest.

A dispute over the DJ's song choice at a wedding in Kasganj district escalated into violence when a groom's relative allegedly shot the bride's maternal cousin, Akash, in the chest with a homemade pistol. Akash was rushed to a hospital and then transferred to Varun Trauma Centre in Aligarh due to his critical condition. The bride's family called off the wedding and sent the groom's procession back.

PTI reports that police have registered a case ag ainst four people, including Vishnu, following a complaint by the victim's family. According to Circle Officer Sankalp Deep Kushwaha, the dispute resulted in the wedding's cancellation. Police have arrested one suspect and are working to apprehend the others, stated Additional Superintendent of Police Shwetabh Pandey.
