Uttar Pradesh Horror: Teen Stabs Brother to Death with Scissors After Dispute Over New Shoes

A 16-year-old boy got stabbed to death by his younger sibling with a pair of scissors on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, over a minor dispute in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj. Police are currently investigating the matter and are making efforts to nab him. This tragic incident took place in Chaumukha village in Maharajganj on Monday. As per the initial reports, the elder brother, identified as Suraj, bought new shoes online. His younger brother wanted to wear those shoes, which led to an argument.

The argument got so intense that in fit of rage, Suraj allegedly picked up pair of scissors lying nearby and attacked Laxman, delivering multiple blows. Laxman sustained severe injuries to his head and hands and collapsed at the scene, leaving family member in shock. After receiving information about the incident, police arrived at the scene and transported the injured teenager to the Ghugli Community Health Center.

Due to his critical condition, he was referred to the district hospital in Maharajganj, where he was pronounced dead. The tragic outcome of a seemingly minor disagreement has devastated the family and shocked the village. Police report that the accused fled after the attack and is still at large. Police are searching for the suspect. According to Station House Officer Kunwar Gaurav Singh, a case will be registered and legal action pursued once a written complaint is filed.

The victim's body has been sent for autopsy, and an investigation is underway to determine the sequence of events. Authorities are interviewing family members and locals for additional information.
