Paris, July 17 The final round of the U19 Women's Volleyball European Championships will take place, as originally planned, from August 22 to 30 in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Croatia, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) has confirmed.

A total of 12 U19 national teams will participate in the tournament in the city of Zenica, BiH, and Osijek, Croatia, reports Xinhua news agency.

The relevant national federations have passed the CEV's assessment to confirm their readiness and ability to host the event according to the measures recommended by national and international authorities to curb the spread of COVID-19.

Because of the cancellation of the second and third stage of the qualification process, the 10 teams, beside the two hosts, were advanced automatically to the finals by virtue of their position in the latest European Ranking for the age group.

Therefore, the twelve teams are: Russia, Italy, Turkey, Serbia, Germany, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Belarus, France and Poland, plus organizers BiH and Croatia.

The draw to determine the composition of the two preliminary pools will take place next week at the CEV headquarters in Luxembourg.
