Bollywood actor Asif Basra was found dead in a private complex in the northern hilly city of Dharamshala. The veteran actor was found hanging in the complex when the police reached the spot. Basra has done character roles in several Bollywood films including 'Jab We Met,' 'Ek Villain,' 'Fanney Khan,' 'Roy,' 'Hichki,' among others.

Popular Tamil television actress, Chitra was found dead at a hotel room in Chennai. The 29-year old actress, was found hanging from a fan at the hotel room -using her saree like a rope. Chitra became more popular among lovers of soap opera after she donned the role of 'Mullai,' in the ongoing television serial 'Pandian Stores.'

Bhojpuri actor Anupama Pathak was found dead at her home in Mira Road. A day earlier, Anupama Pathak had shared in a Facebook video that she was cheated and was unable able to trust anyone. In the video, she spoke about trust issues and not having friends who can be of help. She ended her life when her husband was out for some work, police said. A suicide note was found at the spot.

Bollywood actress Arya Banerjee who worked in the film 'The Dirty Picture' has passed away in her apartment in Jodhpur Park, South Kolkata. According to the reports, her body was covered with blood when police arrived at the scene.The daughter of late sitarist Nikhil Bandyopadhyay, Arya had acted in LSD: Love Sex Aur Dhoka (2010) and other films besides The Dirty Picture (2011).She had also done some modelling jobs in Mumbai.

On 14 June 2020, Rajput, aged 34, was found dead, hanging from the ceiling fan[179] in his home in Bandra, Mumbai.He had reportedly shown signs of clinical depression and was suffering from bipolar disorder.The Mumbai Police commenced an investigation, stating that the death was being treated as a suicide.
