The best part of anyone's life is that, something that they followed all their lives has lead them to live extreme longevity and enjoyable life with their mental faculties and physical capabilities intact, but anyone knows what is the secret to longevity life into sunset years?

A report in Express.co.uk, a study published in Plos Medicine, the combined impact of health behaviours and mortality in men and women was further analysed. The study examined the prospective relationship between lifestyle and mortality in a prospective population study of 20,244 men and women aged between 45 to 79 years with no known cardiovascular disease or cancer. After an average 11-year follow-up for all-cause mortality for men and women who had three, two, one, and zero compared to four health behaviours were respectively. The study concluded that four health behaviours combined to predict a four-fold difference in total mortality in men and women, with an estimated impact equivalent to 14 years in chronological age. Those key habits are:

Physically Inactive: According to the Science Daily, 220 years of a sedentary lifestyle is associated with a two times risk of premature death compared to being physically active, according to results from the HUNT study presented in August 2019 at ESC Congress together with the World Congress of Cardiology. Adults must follow WHO recommendations of 150 minutes a week of moderate-intensity or 75 minutes a week of vigorous-intensity aerobic physical activity to live a longer, healthier life.

Moderate Alcohol intake: According to US National Institute on Alcohol abuse and Alcoholism, about 88,000 Americans dies every year from alcohol related problems, it has became the third most preventable cause of death after Tabacco, Nearly 24,000 of these deaths are related to liver diseases, such as liver cancer and cirrhosis. Drinking of alcohol moderately is not risky.

Fruits and Vegetables intake: Eating two servings of fruits and three servings of vegetables everyday will make your lives longevity according to a large new study from researchers from Harvard TH Chan School of Public "This amount likely offers the most benefit in terms of prevention of major chronic disease and is a relatively achievable intake for the general public," said lead study author Dong Wang, a research scientist in the Department of Nutrition (March 1, 2020), CNBC article.

Cigarette smoking: Smoking is an most common cause of deaths between middle age groups and adults According to the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), life expectancy for smokers is at least 10 years shorter than for nonsmokers; and quitting smoking before the age of 40 reduces the risk of dying from smoking-related disease by about 90 per cent. There are rare exceptions though. According to the Smithsonian magazine, one 104-year-old woman attributes her longevity to drinking 3 Dr Pepper sodas per day for 40 years. The oldest man in the United States is 112 and smokes 12 cigars a day. The Smithsonian magazine also states that the world's oldest verified woman, Jeanne Louise Calment who lived for 122 years and 164 days in France, smoked two cigarettes per day until age 119, only stopping because she could not see well enough to light up anymore. But these rare exceptions cannot refute the medically established fact that smoking is injurious to health and longevity and that cigarette smoking can cause cancer.
