Omicron has reached most countries and is said to be spreading at an unprecedented rate.4 / 13Omicron cases are on the rise not only in African countries but also in the US and Europe.5 / 13So far, 77 countries have officially confirmed Omycron cases, World Health Organization (WHO) chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreas told.6 / 13The Omicron variant is expanding much faster than the Delta, and the Delta Plus variant. Efforts are being made worldwide to prevent this new variant.7 / 13Tedros said 'the WHO was not opposed to giving booster doses. But the disparity in vaccination is worrisome. Let me make it clear that vaccines alone cannot save any country from this crisis'.8 / 13Vaccination rates vary greatly between countries. In 41 countries, it has not yet reached 10% of the population eligible for vaccination. With the advent of new variants and the growing number of patients in other parts of the world, the threat of Covid-19 persists globally.12 / 13In India, so many cases of omicron have been reported so far and 5 states have been affected.13 / 13According to Dr. Khetrapal, some of the features, including the widespread use of omecron in the world and large-scale mutations, could have a significant impact on the countries. It is difficult to say exactly what the consequences will be.
