Tata Nexon EV price dropped after Mahindra XUV400 launched

Just two days ago, Mahindra launched the electric SUV 400. Mahindra's car was cheaper than Tata's Nexon, which till now dominated the electric vehicle market. Due to this, Tata made a big 'cut' in the price of its EV car the very next day.

Mahindra & Mahindra finally announced the price of its much-awaited electric compact SUV XUV400 on Monday. This electric car is based on the XUV300 compact SUV. This car will come in two variants namely EC and EL.

Mahindra XUV400 EV is priced at Rs. 15.99 lakh and Rs. 18.99 lakh (ex-showroom) has been kept. 20000 cars to be sold per year. It can cover a distance of 456 km on a single charge.

At the same time, the range of Tata's Nexon was decreasing and the price was also increasing. Due to this, Tata has taken an important decision to compete with Mahindra. The Tata Nexon Electric has been priced at just Rs 14.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

The Tata Nexon EV comes with a total of two variants and different battery packs. With the new update, the Tata Nexon EV Prime (base model) has been priced at Rs 14.49 lakh and the top variant Nexon EV Max has been priced at Rs 16.49 lakh (ex-showroom).

These cars were earlier priced at Rs 14.99 lakh and Rs 18.34 lakh respectively. In this, Tata has reduced the price of Tata Nexon EV Prime by Rs 50 thousand and Nexon EV Max by Rs 1.85 lakh.

Tata has not stopped at this, but the driving range has also been increased. The Nexon EV MAX will now offer a range of 453 km on a single charge. This range will be available from January 25, 2023. Existing Nexon Max customers can also benefit from this increased range through a software upgrade.

For this, customers have to take their vehicle to an authorized dealership. Existing customers will be able to avail this facility from 15 February 2023.

The company today launched the flagship Nexon EV MAX XM trim in the portfolio, priced at Rs 16.49 lakh.

It is equipped with features like electronic parking brake, automatic climate control, electronic stability program (ESP) with i-VBAC, projector headlamps with LED DRLs and LED tail lamps, push button start.

Nexon EV MAX XZ Lux is priced at Rs 18.49 lakh. Along with this, Nexon EV Prime XM has also been launched. The price of this electric SUV starts from Rs 14.49 lakh.
