Shraddha Walkar Murder Case: Aftab Poonawala cut body into pieces using saw, says autopsy report

The Shraddha Walker murder shocked the entire country. Aftab, who lives in the live-in, cut Shraddha's body into 35 pieces. In this incident, the police reached the accused Aftab after six months. After that, everyone was shocked by his confession in the police interrogation.

New revelations are coming out every day in the Shraddha Walker case. Now in Shraddha's murder case, the police have done the postmortem of her 23 bones. A postmortem analysis conducted at Delhi AIIMS on Tuesday revealed that the bones were cut with a saw.

Delhi Police may file a charge sheet in Saket in the last week of January in this case. Aftab, the accused of Shraddha's murder, is currently in Tihar Jail. Aftab, the accused in the murder case, has undergone a narco test. Earlier he had to undergo a polygraph test.

In the police investigation, Aftab had said that he killed Shraddha. Aftab was Shraddha's lover. Both used to live in Mumbai and shifted to Delhi a few days ago. In Delhi, both were living in a live-in relationship with a flat in Mehrauli.

Aftab had said that he had a fight with Shraddha on May 18. After this he strangled Shraddha to death. Aftab then cut Shraddha's body into 35 pieces. Aftab kept these pieces in the fridge.

Aftab used to go every night to throw a piece of Shraddha's dead body in the forest of Mehrauli. Even after Shraddha's murder, Aftab lived in the same flat. He kept using Shraddha's social media account to avoid anyone suspecting her murder.

Aftab had also transferred 54 thousand rupees from Shraddha's account. With the help of Shraddha's mobile location and bank account details, the police reached Aftab. Aftab was arrested by the police on November 12.

Aftab Poonawala's judicial custody has been extended by 14 days. Delhi's Saket Court gave this verdict on Tuesday. Aftab has asked for some law books to read in custody before the court.

Aftab was produced in court before Metropolitan Magistrate Aviral Shukla. At this time, Shukla instructed the jail authorities to give warm clothes to Aftab. Earlier on December 6, the court had extended Poonawala's custody by 4 days.

Delhi Police has received the mitochondrial DNA test report in the Shraddha Walker murder case. Shraddha's bones and hair samples have been matched. The examination was conducted by the Center for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics in Hyderabad.
