Coronavirus: DRDO lab develops automated UV systems to sanitize electronic gadgets, papers and currency notes

The coronavirus has created an atmosphere of fear around the world. While all states are taking appropriate precautions to prevent the growing corona infection, many countries have announced lockdown to curb the spread of the virus.

The Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) has developed a phone sterilization device without any contact.

The device has been manufactured at DRDO's laboratory in Hyderabad. He has informed about this from his Twitter account.

The device is named Defense Research Ultraviolet Sanitizer (DRUS).

All types of phones, iPads, laptops, currency notes and some other items can be sterilized through this device.

This device is fitted with a proximeter sensor. When the device is turned on, it automatically completes the disinfection process.

Other items, including phones, are sterilized in the DRUS device. When disinfection is complete the device automatically goes into slip mode.

The DRDO said there was no need for human contact when all these procedures were completed.
