After hours of deliberation during the CWC meeting, it was decided that Sonia Gandhi will continue to remain the interim party chief. A panel has also been formed to help Sonia Gandhi in her day-to-day functioning. An All India Congress Committee (AICC) session will be called within six months. “Congress is one big family and I don’t hold anything against anyone. But all, especially senior leaders should raise concerns at the party forum only,” Sonia Gandhi said in her concluding remarks at the CWC meeting. After Congress Working Committee meeting witnessed high drama over former party president Rahul Gandhi’s purported remark that some of the signatories of the letter calling for sweeping reforms within the party were “colluding with the BJP”, leaders from the Saffron party reacted saying Congress’ days are numbered.
