Pune Accident: One Dead, Nine Injured on Kalyan-Ahilyanagar Highway After Car and Pickup Truck Crash

Pune : A tragic accident occurred on Kalyan-Ahilyanagar highway, were a one person died and nine other injured.  The incident took place on Wednesday night, February 25, at around 11 pm involving two vehicles, a pickup and a Bolero. According to information received, the pickup was going to Mumbai from Nandur Plateau in Ahilyanagar district after filling up with Kalingad.

One person was killed and nine others were injured in an accident involving two vehicles coming from Alephata on the Ahilyanagar-Kalyan highway at around 11 pm on Wednesday. There was a loud noise from the accident of both the vehicles, after which the villagers rushed to the spot. The ambulances were contacted and arrived at the spot. After making every effort, all the injured were immediately admitted to Alephata for treatment. There was a huge crowd of citizens at the spot.

The goods pickup truck was seen falling on the highway and going under the passing vehicles. This falling debris caused a ruckus on the road. Meanwhile, ten people were sitting in both the vehicles. Sachin Sakaru Pathare, Subhash Popat Dudhavade, Kiran Narayan Khandagale, Sunil Bhikaji Kedar, Ashok Dilip Madhe, Sampat Gangaram Pathare, Sunil Kale, Dattu Doke, Namdev Madhe were all injured, while Tukaram Popat Madhe (age 55, resident of Aklapur) died while undergoing treatment at Alephata.
