Pune: The auto-rickshaw driver died after an collusion with ST bus in old Katraj Ghat on Thursday April 23 evening. The police reported that the rickshaw driver died on the spot in this accident, while three passengers sustained serious injuries. According to reports, a head-on collision took place between a State Transport Corporation bus—traveling from Swargate towards Sangli-Vita and an auto-rickshaw that was heading from Khed Shivapur towards Katraj.
The impact of the collision was so severe that the rickshaw was literally crushed into wreckage. The rickshaw driver died at the scene of the accident. Additionally, the three other passengers traveling in the rickshaw were injured and have been immediately admitted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving information about the incident, Senior Police Inspector Sharad Zhine of the Ambegaon Police Station arrived at the scene, and relief operations are currently underway. The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
