Elon Musk-owned microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) faced a sudden outage on Thursday afternoon, March 26, affecting users across the globe. Many users reported that they are unable to load tweets on their timelines. Some users reported that they can’t see previous posts on their profile timeline.
According to the outage tracking website Downdetector, more than 32,000 users reported issues with the platform as of 12:40 pm. Out of this, 50% users reported being unable to load the feed and timeline. 41% users reported a problem with the X application, and 6% face a problem on the desktop website.
Several users took to social media platforms to confirm the X outage as they were unable to access their feeds, post content or use key features of the platform. The disruption affected both the app and the website.
X has not issued any official statement regarding the outage so far. It remains unclear whether the disruption was limited to certain regions or affected users globally.
