A huge fire broke out in an oil warehouse situated in the Maccha Compound area of rural Bhiwandi in Thane district of Maharashtra on Tuesday morning, April 21. Drums were stored with large quantities of oil in a warehouse that caught fire, according to the news agency IANS.
The fire spread rapidly and engulfed the entire godown due to the availability of flammable oil in the warehouse, which triggered the blaze. The flames and black smoke emanating from the structure were visible up to 2–3 kilometers which further spread panic in the region.

Fire brigade team, along with local police, reached the spot and are engaged in firefighting operations to bring the fire under control.
Visuals shared by IANS show huge flames with black smoke blowing out into the sky, creating air pollution. In a video, it can be seen that the fire has spread on the ground due to an oil spill. However, no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident. The reason for the fire will be investigated.
