According to reports, a security guard deployed at the civic-run Rukminibai Hospital asked a car driver to remove his vehicle from the hospital entrance and clear the way for ambulances and emergency vehicles. Triggered by the request, the driver brutally assaulted the guard with an iron rod. The tragic incident was caught on CCTV camera and has since gone viral on social media.

When the guard explained the seriousness of blocking the hospital gate, the driver allegedly attacked him with punches and kicks, then retrieved an iron rod from the vehicle and continued the assault, despite attempts by a companion to restrain him. The guard's uniform was torn in the scuffle, and the violence caused panic within the hospital as people gathered to watch. Hospital employees expressed outrage over the attack on a staff member maintaining emergency access. The incident was captured on CCTV, which police are reviewing. The footage reportedly shows the driver assaulting the guard near the entrance.
Police have registered a case against the unidentified driver and are searching for him. They identified the vehicle number from the CCTV footage and are working to apprehend the accused.
