A blaze erupted in the garbage, and several vehicles parked at an auto garage in the Wagle Estate area of Thane were gutted in the fire. The blaze erupted in the early hours of March 5. No injuries were reported in this incident. The Disaster Management Cell of the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) stated that the fire news was shared with them by the Wagle Fire Station at around 12:59 am. The authorities reached the spot to control the fire as soon as they were informed about the incident.
No injuries were reported, and only six four-wheelers parked in an open space at Achutanand Auto Garage were gutted in the fire. The garage is owned by Babu Behera and is located at Arastu Compound, Hanuman Nagar, Road No. 28, Wagle Estate, Thane (West).

Car gutted, SUV partially damaged in another fire
In a separate incident, a car was completely destroyed and a sports utility vehicle (SUV) parked nearby was partially damaged after they caught fire at an open ground on Ghodbunder Road in Thane city of Maharashtra on Wednesday, officials said.
The incident took place around 11 am at Nepro Ground, according to Yasin Tadvi, chief of the Thane Disaster Management Cell. He said a local resident alerted authorities after noticing the fire, following which personnel from the Disaster Management Cell reached the spot with a pickup vehicle, while fire brigade teams arrived with a fire engine.
The car was entirely gutted in the blaze, while the SUV sustained partial damage. Though the exact cause of the fire is yet to be determined, officials suspect that intense heat may have triggered it.
