Thane: Fire Broke Out at Pav Bhaji Center Near Vasant Vihar; No Injuries Reported
Thane Fire: Blaze broke out at the Baba Pavbhaji center near Vasant Vihar Circle in Thane on Friday , March 13, 2026. Local residents promptly informed, Regional Disaster Management cell that incident occurred at around 12:24 pm. As per reports of FPJ, fire initiated dfrom the kitchen chimney before it went to the electrical wiring and various plastic materials.
Following the incident, Thane fire department immediately responded and sent one fire engine and one pickup vehicle. Fire was doused of with the joint effort from fire and disaster management team and situation was brought under control. Fortunately , no casualties were reported and fire was extinguished.
Earlier, major fire broke out at the chemical factory in Ambernath Anandnagar MIDC here at 6 pm on Monday. After that, a huge explosion of drums filled with chemicals in the factory took place one after the other, and the fire took a violent form within a few minutes. The explosion caused the fire to spread to two factories adjacent to Shri Ganesh Chemicals. The cause of the fire is not clear.

Following a fire, all workers were immediately evacuated. No casualties were reported, according to MIDC Engineer Sudhir Kumbhar. MIDC fire brigade personnel, along with fire brigades from Taloja MIDC, Ambernath, Badlapur, Ulhasnagar, and Kalyan, brought the fire under control by approximately 8:30 pm. Cooling operations then commenced.
