Aurangabad, March 11:The city highest increase in the number of Corona patients 902 was recorded in the district on Thursday. Of which, 679 patients were reported from the municipal corporation limits alone. The rural areas in the district have been once again grappled with the severity of Corona. On March 9, the total number of patients was 550 in this week, but it took a hike and crossed 900 mark on Thursday.In all, 902 new Corona suspects found positive on Thursday. The total number of patients in the district reached 55341 now, of which, 49890 recovered, 1320 died while 4131 are being treated. There was an increase of 223 patients in the rural areas on Thursday while the total number of active patients has reached 664 now. The number of patients in Aurangabad, Gangapur and Vaijapur tehsil attained the three digit mark. The active patients in Aurangabad are 233, Vaijapur 133, Gangapur 101, Kannad 74, Khuldabad 25, Sillod 41, Phulambri 23, Paithan 29 and Soyegaon 5.
