Aurangabad, Feb 24:Coaching Classes Association (CCA) asked Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) to stop taking action against coaching classes that follow all measures of Novel coronavirus.It may be noted that all the private coaching classes were shut down in March with the implementation of lockdown to reduce the spread of Novel coronavirus.Most of the educational institutes were reopened in a phased-manner up to February 2021, while coaching classes were closed.The teaching and non-teaching members working the coaching classes were facing a financial crunch. The AMC gave permission to reopen the classes from February 15.However, the civic body teams started taking fine from coaching classes that are following all COVID measures.Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, CCA State unit president Prof Pandurang Wagh claimed that they have developed their measures and following them to reduce the spread of the pandemic virus.“We have prepared better measures than AMC. The civic body squads are collecting extortion on the pretext of collecting fine from February 16. The Corporation should think over such type of action,” he added.Prof Prashant Bansode said that coaching classes should not be targeted.“The coaching classes are facing 100 pc revenue losses for the past one year. Students and teachers were afraid of the taken being taken against the coaching classes. If they fund tackle COVID, we will give it,” he asserted.Prof Dnyaneshwar Dhakne said that there is no opposition to the action against the classes ignoring measures, but it should not be taken against the classes that follow all norms.S G Mhaske, A B Patil, A D Manwar, R R Epper, D R Mane, V J Sose, P D Shinde, B A Neharkar and Vandana Neharkar were present for the briefing.
