Aurangabad, May 17:Two persons severely beat apoliceman while he stopped their motorcycle during Nakabandi on Chelipura roadon Monday at around 11.30 am. A case has been registered against them at theCity Chowk police station and they have been arrested.The arrested have been identified asJalal Farooqui Azhar Farooqui and Mohammad Wajed Mohammad Shafiq (19, bothAsefia Colony).Complainant constable Manohar VishnuBorde is posted in the Riots Control squad under the police commissionerate. OnMonday, the squad was deployed at the Chelipura Road on Monday for Nakabandi.Borde stopped two persons coming on a motorcycle (MH 20 DR 1902) but they triedto flee away. However, Borde obstructed and asked them to park the motorcycle.Still, they did not listen to him and started beating Borde. The otherpolicemen rushed to help Borde and nabbed both the miscreants. A case has beenregistered at the City Chowk police station on the basis of the complaintlodged by Borde.
