2 arrested for beating policeman during Nakabandi

Aurangabad, May 17:

Two persons severely beat a

policeman while he stopped their motorcycle during Nakabandi on Chelipura road

on Monday at around 11.30 am. A case has been registered against them at the

City Chowk police station and they have been arrested.

The arrested have been identified as

Jalal Farooqui Azhar Farooqui and Mohammad Wajed Mohammad Shafiq (19, both

Asefia Colony).

Borde is posted in the Riots Control squad under the police commissionerate. On

Monday, the squad was deployed at the Chelipura Road on Monday for Nakabandi.

Borde stopped two persons coming on a motorcycle (MH 20 DR 1902) but they tried

to flee away. However, Borde obstructed and asked them to park the motorcycle.

Still, they did not listen to him and started beating Borde. The other

policemen rushed to help Borde and nabbed both the miscreants. A case has been

registered at the City Chowk police station on the basis of the complaint

lodged by Borde.
