In this five-year collaborative effort starting June 2019, the BFI will look to conduct camps as part of its high-performance training programme and the IIS will play a key role in shaping the boxers as BFI's official high performance partner.IIS will also play a crucial role in hosting national training camps where elite boxers will hone their skills ahead of major international events. IIS will provide state-of-the-art training facilities to the boxers, along with access to sports science testing, strength and conditioning experts and professional diet and nutrition support to all the players in the camp.With boxing being one of India's highest medal-winning disciplines at quadrennial events, the partnership will focus on performance-oriented training for the pugilists.BFI President Ajay Singh is extremely optimistic about this partnership and believes that this association will go a long way in preparing the young boxers for the highest level of competition right from an early age."Ensuring state-of-the-art facilities and training environments for all our boxers have been a priority for BFI and I am glad this partnership with IIS will help us achieve our goals.
