Aurangabad, Oct 18:

A team of Revenue and Police Departments and Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) seized 100 brass of sands from various parts of the city including Azad Chowk, N-2 and Pundliknagar on Sunday.

Additional tehsildar Kishor Deshmukh said that stock of sand should be maintained until one has transportation pass.

He said that cases would be lodged if one keeps illegal sand stock.

The team verified the transportation pass of those who were keeping stock of sand. Some passes were sent to Minor Minerals Department officials.

The officers said that action would be taken if anyone is found guilty after the panchanama.

Kishor Deshmukh said that seized sand was kept in the tehsil office premises. Those builders who are doing construction should possess sand transportation pass.
