Under the Prime Minister Housing Scheme, 11,000 houses are being constructed at Tisgaon (Plots 225/1 & 227/1), Padegaon (Plot 69), Sundarwadi (Plots 9 & 10), and Harsul (Plot 216). Each 1-BHK unit (322.7 sq. ft.) costs Rs 9.5–12 lakh, with a Rs 2.5 lakh subsidy. Earlier, 40,000 citizens had applied, but the reopened online applications requiring location choice and Rs 5,000 security deposit received only 5,192 submissions by January 19, 2026. Of these, 69 were rejected; applicants have until February 3 to correct deficiencies. The final eligible list will be published on February 7, with around 5,200 applicants expected. A lucky draw will allocate houses. With 5,000 units still unclaimed, the newly appointed mayor, deputy mayor, and permanent committee chairpersons may extend the application period.
