Aurangabad, June 16:
A 15-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself to the roof with a rope at Jogeshwari in the Waluj area on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased has been identified as Saniya Sattar Shaikh, but the reason of her suicide was not known. The Waluj MIDC police, on receiving the information, rushed to the spot. PSI Prashant Gambhirrao, ASI Kakasaheb Jagdale and others took her to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), where the doctors declared her dead after the examination. Saniya’s mother, Hanifa, father Shaikh Sattar, had gone out for work, and she was alone in the house with her younger brother Irshad. Irshad had gone out to play and she hanged herself. When he returned, he saw her hanging. As he started shouting, the neighbours gathered and informed the MIDC police. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Waluj MIDC police station.
