The antigen test of two lakh labourers from Waluj, Chikalthana, Railway Station and Shendra industrial estates will be conducted at three places from March 13.

Following an appeal from the district administration, Industrial associations will bear the expenses of COVID test to be conducted at three places.

With a fresh spike in pandemic patients cases, the district administration, Aurangabad Municipal Corporation and police administration started implementing partial lockdown from Thursday to contain its spread.

Industries that were given conditional exemption from lockdown will have to carry out RT-PCR test of labourers compulsorily.

The industries from four industrial estates which suffered a lot during the last lockdown decided to cooperate with local administration. But, the Government health department lacks the required machinery for such a large number of workers’ RT-PCR.

Therefore, Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSA), Chamber of Marathwada

Industries and Agriculture (CMIA) and Confederation Indian Industries (CII) Marathwada Zone decided to conduct the antigen test through private medical service at three places from Saturday. They are MASSIA office at Chikalthana, Waluj and Marathwada Auto Cluster in Waluj.
