Although the increase in the number of corona patients in Marathwada has come to a halt since last week, the death toll due is not ready to come down. A total of 212 corona patients died while undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the region.
An average of 22 to 35 patients die every day in Marathwada. Initially, Aurangabad district had a high incidence of patients and mortality. Later, the number of patients started increasing in Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts. The rate of doubling of patients has now slowed down and six to seven hundred new patients are being found every day. In Marathwada so far 3,292 patients have died due to corona.
