22 colleges failed to provide students strength
Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A total of 22 colleges failed to provide students' details to Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University (Bamu).
It may be noted that the Directorate of Higher Education had instructed that non-governmental aided colleges provide certified information regarding the subjects and category-wise (aided and unaided) students admitted in the year 2025 to the university.
Accordingly, through the university's circular, all affiliated colleges were issued the format and necessary instructions and were instructed to submit the information to the university by January 19, 2026, in soft copy via email and hard copy to the office.
Most of the colleges submitted the information to the university as instructed. However, 20 colleges failed to submit information to the university.
The university issued a letter to the colleges stating this is administratively unacceptable the office of the Joint Director and instructions were given to hold all concerned parties responsible for any issues that may arise in the future, including taking action regarding salaries and other related matters.
The colleges were reminded again about information submission to the university as per the prescribed instructions, so that the relevant information can be submitted to the office of the Joint Director. Bamu informed colleges that if any problems arise in the future because they fail to submit the information, the entire responsibility would rest with the principal of the concerned college.
