In order to maintain law and order in the city, CP Dr Nikhil Gupta issued orders to the in-charge of all police stations that 25 percent of the policemen in the police station should patrol on the roads.

In the backdrop of Corona outburst, 350 criminals were granted bail and were released from the jail. The criminal activities in the city have increased considerably; hence, CP Gupta has decided to increase the presence of police on the roads. Out of the total policemen in each police station, 25 percent will have to patrol on roads. This initiative was implemented at some police stations in the city for the past two days. The public will feel safe due to the presence of police and there will be fear among the criminals.

Gupta said, the patrolling of the police on the city roads will increased. Presently, the PCR cars of the police control room, teams of women grivences cell and Damini two teams are patrolling on the city roads. Police will be patrolling at the crowded places, he said.
