28 tolas gold jewellery stolen from Dhauni Mohalla

Aurangabad, June 13:

Thieves stole 28 tolas of gold jewellery from a house at Dhauni Mohalla. Importantly, the thieves stole only 28 tolas jewellery out of the 40 tolas keept in the locker and even the locker was not broken. The complainant woman has not suspected anyone due to which the police are in dilemma. The thieves left 12 tolas jewelly, 3.5 kgs silver utensils and cash as it is in the locker.

According to the details, Vijaya Sachin Avasthi 946, Akshay Garden - B, Devanagari, Sangramnagar) in her complaint at City Chowk police station, her husband Sachin Avasthi is working in a private air cargo company. They have their ancestral house at Dhauni Mohalla. Her in-laws live on the ground floor and other relatives on the first floor. On February 18, her mother-in-law Meenadevi Jananrdan Avasthi kept 40 tolas gold organament in a lock along with 3.5 kgs silver utensils and Rs 3,500 cash in the locker. On March 14, both her in-laws were infected by Corona and hence, they took them to their house at Devanagari. After 12 days, they returned to Dhauni Mohalla.

Next day, when her mother-in-law checked the locker, the 28 tolas jewellery was missing. The theft occured between March 14 and 26, Vijaya Avashthi mentioned in her complaint.
