Aurangabad, May 30:

The Cantonment police on Sunday arrested three persons in connection of the murder of Shaikh Majid in the bed of Kham river near Barapulla Gate on Saturday. The arrested have been identified as Arbaz Wahed Khan (19, Kohinoor Colony), fruit vendor Mustafa alias Parvez Abdul Samad (20, Kotwalpura) and a minor boy.

These three were playing a mobile game in an auto rickshaw in Kotwalpura area when Shaikh Majid in an inebriated condition came to them at around 3.30 am on Saturday. He threatened them and demanded money and later tried to snatch their mobile phone. The three of them severely beat Majid and took him in the dry bed of Kham river near Barapulla Gate. One of them hit a stone on his head and face due to which he died, they confessed.

The minor boy who was present with these two suspects told about the incident to his relatives and the murder was unveiled. The police then arrested Arbaz from Kohinoor Colony and his accomplice Mustafa from Kotwalpura on Sunday at around 3 am. The police have seized the stone and the cloths of the deceased. Deceased Majid is an accused in the murder of a auto-rickshaw driver Majas and was out of the jail on bail.
