A total of 309 people were penalised for rule violations at the railway station, including indiscriminate parking by autorickshaw drivers, smoking on premises, crossing railway tracks, and unauthorised sale of food items.
The Railway Protection Force conducted a special drive from March 9 to 13, taking action against 103 persons. On Saturday, another 206 violators were fined during a Lok Adalat.
The drive was conducted under the guidance of railway first class judicial magistrate Satish Aher and led by RPF inspector N Bhaskarrao, sub-inspector K Chandulal, and assistant sub-inspector Shivhari Sanap. A similar action had earlier been carried out in December.\
