Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Four persons, including a waiter, were seriously injured at Pratap Chowk in Waluj Sunday night after they were beaten up with an iron rod due to a hotel business competition. A fight broke out between the two groups.

A case was registered at MIDC Waluj police station in this regard. Injured waiter Babasaheb Shenfaddu Wankhede (21, Bajajnagar) gave a statement to Waluj MIDC police while undergoing treatment in the ICU at a private city hospital. He said that he has been a waiter at Hotel Yograj (Pratap Chowk) for the past eight months.

After closing the hotel, Samadhan Patil, Krishna Patil, hotel owner Nanasaheb Galande and Babasaheb were standing in front of the hotel, at 11.30 pm, on Sunday night.

A car (MH 20-BA 0700) stopped near them. Rajendra Shingade, the owner of Rajyog Hotel, was in the car. He took Nanasaheb Galande with him. Shingade threatened the hotel employees of dire consequences.' Later, another car arrived in five to ten minutes there.

Rohit Shingade and Rohan Shingade who got down of this car had iron bars and started beating four employees. The four persons were injured in the incident. Babasaheb sustained serious injuries. Assistant police inspector Manoj Shinde is on the case.
