Aurangabad, June 23:

The number of mucormycosis patients is increasing in the city daily.

A total of four patients were admitted on Wednesday to the hospitals while not a single patient died. Patients who arrived from Marathwada and adjoining districts are taking treatment in various hospitals of the city. The number of patients has gone up to 1053 so far.

A total of 128 patients died till today during the last two months while no death was reported today. The figure of the active patient is 235, while 690 were discharged till Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the vaccination campaign received a good response in the city from youths on Wednesday. A total of 14,068 youths took the vaccine today. The Aurangabad Municipal Corporation has a big stock of vaccination for the 18 to 44 years age group people. There were queues of youths at vaccination centres of N-8. N-11, Jawahar Colony and Rajnagar. Vaccines were administered at 76 centres in the city.
