5 MSEDCL substations get ‘ISO’ certification

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Here is good news for power consumers as Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s (MSEDCL) five sub-stations from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar zone have been awarded with ‘ISO 9001:2015’ certification on the Republic Day (Sunday).

The five sub-stations, each of 33 KV capacity, include two from the urban circle - Software Technology Park of India (STPI) and Bedse and three from the rural circle – Gandheli, Shendra and Hiwara. This is for the first time in the state. To provide quality power supply to consumers, the modernisation of sub-stations and upgrading the operation and maintenance started under the guidance of the zonal chief engineer Pawankumar Kachhot.

ISO certificates presented to sub-station staff

The certificates were presented to the engineers and operators of the five sub-stations. They include executive engineer Mahesh Patil, Shailesh Kalantri, additional executive engineer Prashant Nakhale, Vishwanath Lahane, deputy executive engineer Bhausaheb Salunke, assistant engineer Satish Adhane, Bhalchandra Jadhav, Manish Magar, Yogesh Chendake, operators and line staff in the august presence of Joint Managing Director Rahul Gupta, Chief Engineer Pawankumar Kachhot, MSETCL’s former Director Uttam Zalte, MITL’s General Manager Shankar Shinde, ‘MASSIA’ president Chetan Raut, superintending engineer Manish Thackeray, Sandeep Darwade and Principal Auditor of ‘ISO’ N D Deshmukh.
