Aurangabad, March 7:

A squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) fined a five-star hotel of Jalna Road on Saturday for flouting Novel coronavirus safety norms.

It may be noted that the number of COVID patients is rising in the city for the past few days. Following directives of the State Government, safety COVID norms are being implemented strictly. Action is being taken against hotels, function halls, and coaching classes that are flouting norms and those who are wandering without masks.

A total of 53,000 were collected from 106 citizens for moving without a mask in the different parts of the city today. A total of 500 was fined for each of them.

The Nagri Mitra Pathak of the AMC took action against a hotel for flouting social distance norms and crowding in a marriage function.

Also, 22 persons were fined (Rs 2200) for spitting on roads, five (Rs 750) citizens for throwing garbage on road.
