54 Candidates skip permanent Jobs at GMCH; 291 documents verified

At Government Medical College and Hospital(GMCH), 54 candidates who cleared the Class IV recruitment exam did not attend document verification, giving waiting-list candidates a chance. Verification of 291 candidates has been completed. Established in 1956, the hospital filled Class IV posts through direct recruitment, and after 69 years, this process resumed. Over the past week, meritorious candidates’ documents were verified under dean Dr Shivaji Sukre, with committee head Dr M. S. Beg, nodal officer Dr Bharat Sonawane, and others overseeing the process. The absentees reportedly skipped verification due to other jobs or exams. Verified candidates will undergo reservation, sports certificate checks, and police verification. Waiting-list candidates will fill vacant posts, with two called per vacancy after about a month, said Dr Sukre.
