A six-year-old girl was crushed to death while three others injured when a speeding truck hit their two-wheeler at Godavari T-Point on Beed bypass at 4 pm on Monday. Police arrested the truck driver.

According to details, Babasaheb Khandagale, his wife Chhaya and two daughters-Swati alias Soni and Rani (nine-year) were returning to Tuarkabad Kharadi from Khodegaon on a motorcycle (MH-20-DJ 6045).

A speeding 14 tyre truck (TC-22-T-4156) hit the two-wheeler from the rear. Swati fell on the road and came under the wheel of the truck. She died on the spot. Babasaheb, Chhaya and Rani sustained serious injuries.
