Aurangabad, Oct 29: As the number of corona patients in the district is declining, 60 out of 72 covid care centers will be closed soon. At present, there are 10,542 beds vacant in various hospitals.

As a precautionary measure, Covid Care Centers (CCC) with a capacity of 12,000 patients were set up at various places in the district against the backdrop of Covid-19. However, due to the declining number of corona patients in the district, 60 centers will be closed. Although the center will be closed temporarily, the officers and staff will remain on duty. Each center has ten employees working on shift basis.

Possibility of a second wave

"The recovery rate of patients in the district is 93.72 per cent and the death rate should be reduced to zero. Health facilities should be planned for those who have recovered from corona" said guardian minister Subhash Desai at a covid review meeting on Thursday. A second wave of corona outbreaks is expected worldwide in December, with lockdowns announced again in China and Europe. Against this backdrop, Desai appealed to the administration to be prepared in the face of potential dangers. Outpatient Department (Post Covid OPD) will be started at the district hospital from November 1 for those who have recovered from corona. It was informed in the meeting that the list of all the employees of the government and registered private hospitals in the district is being compiled for the planning of covid vaccination. The guardian minister also handed over 100 Remdesivir injections to the health administration for the patients in the district.
