Aurangabad, March 21:

In all, 93.90 percent voting was reported in the Aurangabad District Central Co-operative Bank (ADCCB) elections for 18 posts of directors held on Sunday between 8 am and 4 pm, informed the election officer Barhate. Earlier, Sandipan Bhumre and Kiran Patil Dongaonkar were elected unopposed. The elections were not held for these posts as the nominations were received from the personal constituencies. The voting was held at 10 polling centres, including one at each tehsil and two at the divisional joint registrar office at Kranti Chowk. In all, 14,646 voters voted during the election process. Two voters voted at the Aurangabad polling centre wearing PPE kits.

60.78 percent voting was reported at centre No. 1, 98.91 at centre no. 2 in Aurangabad, 97.22 at Khuldabad, 100 at Phulambri, 99.5 at Sillod, 100 at Soyegaon, 98.62 at Kannad, 100 at Paithan, 99.17 at Gangapur, 99.31 at Vaijapur.

The counting will start at the ADCCB on March 22 at 9 am. The counting is expected to be complete by 2 pm, informed the election officer Mukesh Barhate.

Meanwhile, the candidates, their supporters, and leaders spent their time at the two centres in Aurangabad. Former MP, Chandrakant Khaire, Subhash Zambad, Haribhau Bagade, Satish Chavan, Ambadas Danve, Nitin Patil, Ravindranath Kale, Ravindra Kale, Eknath Jadhav, Prakash Mutha and others were present.
