Aurangabad, April 23:

Presently, 11 oxygen cots are available at the Accident Department and 24 in Ward No. 11 in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH). However, around 100 patients are approaching the accident department daily and hence there is crowd in this department. Hence, the administration has decided to implement the accident department medical facility at the Medicine department building and Super Specialty for three days a week.

It takes some time to shift the patients to the Corona ward after admitted to the accident department. The patients have to wait at the department for hours for getting the bed and new patients are approaching in the GMCH daily. There are 760 beds available for the Corona patients. The District Collector on Friday visited the accident department and inspected the situation here.

It has been decided that the accident department facility for reference letter, RTPCR report and others will be available for the patients on Monday, Wednesday and Friday at the Accident department. Similarly, this facility will be available at Super Specialty block on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. On Sunday, both the places will work alternately.
