Action demanded against those threatening Jarange Patil

An audio clip allegedly threatening to shoot dead Manoj Jarange Patil, a prominent leader of the Maratha reservation movement, has gone viral on social media, creating concern. Taking serious note, the Sakal Maratha Samaj on Thursday submitted a memorandum to the police commissioner and the district collector, demanding strict action.

A community delegation met the assistant police commissioner and the resident district collector, stating that the viral threat has spread fear and tension. The delegation demanded the immediate arrest of the person behind the audio clip and sought stringent legal action. Those present included Dnyaneshwar Kanke, Vishnu Chavan, Sharda Shinde, Vijaya Pawar, Vijayashree Tupe, and among others.
