Ambulance dedicated to Bamu staff

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A state-of-the-art ambulance (ambulance) was dedicated to the staff members of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University on Friday as part of the birth anniversary celebrations of Bharat Ratna Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar.

The initiative was made possible through the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) fund of the State Bank of India (SBI), which has provided medical equipment worth Rs 18 lakh. This includes a Maruti eco-ambulance van, a dental chair, an analyzer, and a 12-lead ECG machine. SBI Deputy General Manager Chandrashekhar Ratcha was the chief guest.

Vice Chancellor Dr Vijay Fulari presided over the function. VC Dr Fulari asked the bank for a proposal for an ambulance and machines. The SBI provided support to strengthen medical facilities on campus.

Other SBI officials including regional manager Tribhuvan, Rahul Sharma, Ravindra Sarde, Nilesh Sakhre, branch manager Vijay Raut and Priyanka Yadav were present. Pro-VC Dr Walmik Sarwade, Registrar Dr Prashant Amrutkar, Deputy Registrar Dr Sanjay Kavade and Health Officer Dr Anand Somvanshi were present. Dr. Sanjay Shinde conducted the proceedings of the programme while Dr Anand Somvanshi proposed a vote of thanks.
