Aurangabad, May 28:

The anti-encroachment squad of Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) today has removed one medical shop and 12 other encroachments from the vicinity of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The construction of a cement road from Jubilee Park to Panchakki is underway. Hence the AMC administration has vowed to remove all encroachments obstructing the construction of the road. The squad had also removed 15 handcarts creating an obstruction to traffic from the vicinity of Town Hall. There were complaints that there is a rush of people to buy vegetables from these handcarts during the whole day. Under the guidance of the additional commissioner R P Nikam, the squad officials R S Rachatwar, Vasant Bhoye, and others took the action.
