Aurangabad, July 18:

A 12 year-old-boy drown in a stream on the Savangi Beed By-pass road on Saturday. Another 17-year-old boy met a watery grave in a lake in the Satara Mountains area on Sunday morning.

Some boys from Jawahar Colony area had gone to Satara mountains on Sunday morning. One of them, Lakhan Ishwar Pawar (17, Jawahar Colony, near Chetak Ghoda, native of Shinde Takli, Selu, Beed) entered in a lake in this area but he could not swim. He started drowning in deep water, but his friends could not do anything. They shouted for help, and the nearby residents gathered. The police and the fire brigade were informed.

Fire brigade team, including Mohan Mungse, Laxman Kolhe, Sangram More, Shivsambha Kalyankar, Pankaj Bhalekar, Mayur Kumavat, Shubham Aherkar, Shaikh Aasef and Satara police station PSI Maruti Dasare, constable Sunil Londhe, Ram Jayebhaye and others removed Lakhan from water. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Satara police station.
