Aurangabad, March 16:

The Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation Limited (ASCDCL) has installed the city's first Smart Signal on Adalat Road (High Court Road). The signal went live from today evening.

According to ASCDCL, the experiment made by the state's environment minister Aditya Thackeray at Worli (Mumbai) inspired the office. The entire pole of the signal lights up in sync with the traffic light. The Smart Signals will not only enhance the city's aesthetics but will also improve road safety. This signal enables the motorists to see the traffic signal from a distance of 150 metres, and control the speed accordingly, stated the ASCDCL release.
